Shah Rukh Khan Interview | Shah Rukh Khan speaks to NDTV at Locarno Film Festival

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan took center stage at the 77th Locarno Film Festival on Sunday for an in-depth masterclass conversation with festival director Giona A. Nazzaro.

The wide-ranging discussion covered Khan's career spanning over 30 years, his approach to acting and his thoughts on stardom and the film industry. The event was packed with fans of different nationalities who punctuated the icon's various responses with shouts of "I love you, Shah Rukh!"

Khan began by recounting his early introduction to cinema through his mother, who was a film buff. "We had what was known as a VCR… it was a big thing to have one," he said. "My mother's sister was very rich, so she gave us one." The actor described watching films while massaging his mother's feet, a common cultural practice in India. His first exposure to theatrical film came after he had scored high marks in Hindi language class, when his mother took him to see Yash Chopra's "Joshila."
