After entertaining the audience with his sci-fi film Ayalaan, Sivakarthikeyan is all set to hit the theatres again this year with another action film. The actor’s much-awaited project Amaran has been in the news lately. However, the makers kept the details of its release under wraps for a long time. Finally, the film’s release date has been officially announced and it’s just a few months away.

Written and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, Sai Pallavi has been cast in the female lead role. Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan is rumoured to make a cameo in the film. Bhuvan Arora, Lallu, Rahul Bose, Hanun Bawra, Mir Salman, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Shreekumar and Gaurav Venkatesh have been cast to play supporting characters.

For the unversed, Amaran is a biographical war film with action and drama. It tells the professional and personal life story of Ashok Chakra Major Mukund Varadarajan. It is an adaptation of the book series India's Most Fearless by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh.

Kamal Haasan’s production house, Raaj Kamal Films International, recently confirmed the release date of Amaran. The film will hit theatres on October 31, 2024, on the occasion of Diwali this year. The announcement is accompanied by a new poster featuring Sivakarthikeyan wrapped in blood.
