Motorola is known for personalizing its smartphones through its Moto Mod accessories. The company offers more useful features through its line of Moto apps that are specifically designed for Motorola devices. Motorola apps are free and some are compatible with other Android smartphones.

The Moto app is Motorola's default app with all the flashy features, extra gestures and quick actions.

Moto Actions provide one-handed gestures to perform actions on a Motorola device, such as twisting your wrist to open the camera app and shaking or chopping twice to turn on the flashlight. Some quick actions include placing a device face down to activate Do Not Disturb and picking up a device to silence the ringer.

One-button navigation supports multitasking. A simple tap takes you to the home screen. Swipe left to go to a previous page. Swipe right to go to the Recents page.
