If you've turned off your iPhone's rotation lock (which you can do from Control Center), you can turn the phone sideways in the Calculator app to access a full-fledged scientific calculator app.
Okay, fine, you probably won't need a scientific calculator all that often, but you'll probably need to delete a number every now and then: just swipe left or right at the top of the screen to quickly delete a number without having to re-do the entire calculation.
You’d be forgiven if you ever confused the functionality of the “C” button and the “AC” button. Here’s the difference: if you want to clear the numbers you just typed on the screen, the “C” or (Clear) button will do so without erasing any previous steps. The “AC” (All Clear) button, on the other hand, erases the number you just typed and all previous steps in the calculations, so you’re starting from scratch.
