I love my Oculus Quest 2 headset, but now that I've had a taste of what VR can do, I can't wait to try out the new HTC Vive Pro 2.

HTC Vive Pro 2 review: is it worth upgrading?

The Vive Pro 2 beats out the Oculus hands down on specs. As befits a $799 device aimed at pro users, the Pro 2 offers a 5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a 120-degree field of view. These features should allow the Vive to deliver significantly smoother video and a more realistic experience than most of the competition when it launches next month.

As fun as it is to use, I still suffer from "VR sickness" when using the Oculus. I'm hoping the higher resolution on the HTC can help.

“At the hardware level, higher resolution displays and higher frame rate video help reduce motion sickness,” Matt Wren, co-founder of BUNDLAR, an augmented reality solutions company, told me in an email interview.
