According to Bloomberg tech expert Mark Gurman, the next iPhone is just around the corner.
Major issues with iPhone 14
The outlet reported on Wednesday that there's a strong chance that Apple will officially announce the iPhone 14 at its next event, which is expected to take place on Wednesday, September 7. Tech reporter and seemingly prescient Apple announcement revealer Mark Gurman credits knowledgeable sources for the information. There's a strong belief that we'll also see the public release of iOS 16 sometime in the same month.
Gurman's sources said the event will be streamed, similar to Apple's recent major launches. This time around, Gurman thinks we'll see a larger 6.7-inch model alongside the standard iPhone 14, as opposed to the smaller 5.4-inch variants Apple has released previously.
Other expectations for the new iPhone 14 include a redesigned notch for the front-facing camera to allow for more screen real estate. The highly likely Pro model is also expected to use a processor that outperforms the current A15 chip found in most iPhones, along with an improved camera system, with benefits that would also extend to the Pro’s video recording capabilities and usable battery life.
