Publisher DreadXP has announced that it has acquired the grindhouse survival horror game The Lacerator from Games From The Abyss.

The Lacerator is coming to PC in 2025. A demo is currently available on Steam , and DreadXP will be showcasing it as part of their lineup at PAX West 2024.

The Lacerator is a tense survival horror mixed with the atmosphere of watching an 80’s grindhouse thriller, including throwbacks, that pays homage to horror genre classics with retro-inspired low poly visuals and tank controls. Explore a branching environment, fight enemies and solve puzzles to progress in your quest to escape this hell on earth. But beware of The Lacerator and its many traps, you can lose a limb in real time, drastically changing your gameplay options. Exploration will be crucial to survival, as will combat. Sometimes you can run away from your enemies, but things will often be easier if you manage to defeat them.
