I’ve tried dozens of mice over the years, but Microsoft’s Surface Precision Mouse is among the best, striking a near-perfect balance between form and function.

The Precision Mouse has all the bells and whistles most people could want for a reasonable price of under $100. It has three programmable buttons and a wonderfully smooth scroll wheel.

As someone who has suffered from repetitive stress injuries (RSI), I’m always trying to switch up my mouse game. A wise physical therapist once told me that changing your pointing device regularly is the key to preventing RSI. I recently decided that my wrists deserved a break from Apple’s Magic Mouse 2.

The Precision Mouse makes a great first impression with its sleek, two-tone look accented by silver buttons. When you pick it up, it feels solid but not too heavy. I find it extremely comfortable for long writing sessions. An interesting feature is that it offers both Bluetooth and a wired connection.
