Sony’s new DualSense Edge controller for PlayStation 5 has its biggest appeal: the ability to personalize it. But that has nothing to do with looks.

PS5 DualSense Edge: How to Set Up Back Paddles and Profiles (WORKS on PC!)

Like the original PS5 DualSense controller, the new DualSense Edge has a sleek design with adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, so it’s intended to feel good in the hand while also offering responsive button presses and more precise control. That’s all to be expected, but what the Edge does differently is give you more control over the controller itself.

Unlike a regular DualSense, you can adjust both the sensitivity of the trigger and control stick, as well as the “dead zones” to suit your preferences. You can also remap all of the buttons however you like. Additionally, you can save more than one controller profile on the Edge itself and switch between them with just a few button presses. You can even control some gameplay-related elements, like volume, directly from the controller.

The box contains more than just the Edge controller and the necessary charging cable. It also contains three pairs of control stick caps (standard, high dome, low dome) and two pairs of back buttons (half dome, lever), which you can freely swap. It also contains a carrying case, which allows you to charge the controller via a USB connection.
