Toto, I don't think we're in Scranton anymore. The Office is officially heading Down Under with a new Australian update of the hit comedy series.
Amazon Prime Video Confirms Australian Version of The Office
Prime Video announced Monday that Australian original series The Office will debut all eight episodes on the streamer on October 18. It also gave a first look at Felicity Ward (Time Bandits, Wakefield, The Inbetweeners 2) in the franchise's first-ever female lead role, playing new boss Hannah Howard, CEO of packaging company Flinley Craddick.
When she is told by corporate that they are closing her branch and having everyone work from home, Hannah goes into survival mode, making promises she can't keep in order to keep her "work family" together. The staff at Flinley Craddick give her space and must endure Hannah's bizarre plans while working towards the impossible goals set before them.
The Office also stars Edith Poor, Steen Raskopoulos, Shari Sebbens, Josh Thomson, Jonny Brugh, Susan Ling Young, Raj Labade, Lucy Schmidt, Zoe Terakes, Pallavi Sharda, and Claude Jabbour, with Susie Youssef, Justin Rosniiak, Carlo Ritchie, Rick Donald, and Chris Bunton in guest roles.
