Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Tomb Raider TV series has received an update from Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios.

Following recent Emmy nominations for series like Fallout and Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Sanders was asked by The Wrap how soon he thought production would begin on the film adaptation of the iconic Tomb Raider video game series.
Sanders responded with a fairly typical update for a project so early in its life cycle, but did provide some specific details about plans for the rest of 2024.
"We're working hard. We've got some great material. Phoebe's really good. We're really excited. I think we'll spend the rest of this year getting everything ready so we can start production early next year."
