A touchscreen Mac combines the power of the iMac or MacBook with one of the most tactile and popular features of the iPhone and iPad: the ability to interact with the computer by touching onscreen icons, menus and buttons. While not much is known about the touchscreen Mac yet, rumor has it that it could hit the market as early as 2025.

There could be two touchscreen Mac models: a MacBook Pro laptop and an iMac desktop. According to Bloomberg’s Marc Gurman, it’s most likely that the first touchscreen Mac will be the MacBook Pro, and that we won’t see that until 2025. The touchscreen iMac is said to debut sometime after that, but exactly when is still unclear.

Apple will likely open pre-orders once they announce a touchscreen Mac. Check back here for more information as it becomes available.

While there are no rumors yet on the price of a touchscreen Mac, it’s fair to assume that they would retail for a higher price than their traditional equivalents. How much more the touchscreen models would cost is hard to say, but knowing Apple, expect a premium price for a premium product.
