EXCLUSIVE: The British producer who is calling for a tax credit for unscripted TV shows is planning to present his blueprint to broadcasters and draft a letter to new Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy.

Derek Drennan's petition for the new credit has been signed by more than 150 executives via LinkedIn as Deadline goes to press.

The Nest Productions founder and former Lime Pictures executive told Us that a tax credit for factual, reality and entertainment shows, regardless of budget, would be “huge” for an industry that “struggles to fully fund projects.” “I’m working on 10 projects right now that are all deficit-funded and I think if we had access to a tax credit, we would have these programs a lot quicker,” he said.
