The latest mythological sci-fi dystopian film Kalki 2898 AD has taken the audience by storm with its unique story. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film stars Prabhas in the lead role. While the film is currently enjoying a successful run in theaters, fans are now eagerly waiting for news about the sequel. Recently, Nag Ashwin shared some details about the sequel of the film, and further revealed that the second part will take less time to release than the first film.

The first film in the franchise took five years to release. This has left fans worried about the time it will take for the filmmaker to make the sequel. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Nag Ashwin gave an update on the sequel of Kalki 2898 AD. The director said, "Yes, the second part is in the works. We shot portions of it in the earlier schedules when part one was being filmed. We shot for around 20 days. But there is still a long way to go in terms of planning and thinking."

Talking about the sequel's release date, the director revealed that he wouldn't be spending as much time on it as he did on Kalki 2898 AD. Ashwin shared, "The second part, though, should hopefully take less time to complete and release than the first one."
