I love a simple, classic hack that solves an annoying problem without costing a lot of money or time. And that’s why you’re here: to learn how to easily remove hair from your vacuum cleaner roller brush.

How to Quickly Clean the Brush Roll on ANY Vacuum Cleaner – Remove Hair, Etc.

I'll get straight to the point. You'll need a seam ripper, like this one:

And here’s why: If you pull on the hair and try to rip it off yourself, you could damage the bristles with your force. If you try to cut the hair with scissors, you risk shearing the bristles as well. Scissors are just too big and unwieldy to get into such a delicate mess, and you don’t have the time or patience—or at least I know I don’t—to slowly and carefully remove the hair by hand, piece by piece.

Simply insert the threader into the hair and move it horizontally across the brush to cut a path through hair, lint, and other tangles. Then, you can peel it all off in one large sheet without damaging the brush itself. Simply toss the hair in the trash and continue cleaning.
