National Unity Party chairman and Camarines Sur Rep. L. Ray Villafuerte praised President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for prioritizing the welfare of Filipinos by working to lower food prices and improving social protection programs for the underprivileged.

“We commend President Marcos for putting his people first in our country’s quest to keep our economy on an upward trajectory post-COVID,” Villafuerte said.
In his third State of the Nation Address (SONA), Marcos said the strong economy means nothing if Filipinos continue to suffer from the high cost of rice and other staple foods.
“This is the essence of his vision for a prosperous and peaceful Philippines where no Filipino is left behind. With this, he proves that the President’s Bagong Pilipinas is not just a slogan but a real development agenda for high and inclusive growth for all our people,” Villafuerte said.
