Waze, Google’s third-party navigation app, helps us navigate America’s highways and back roads. Now, the app has added a feature that lets users pay for fuel at ExxonMobil and Shell gas stations using contactless payment.

How to Actually Use Waze: The Best Driving App

The American Automobile Association (AAA) recommends using contactless payment at the pumps or wearing gloves and using sanitizer.

“Motorists can minimize touching surfaces when fueling: using gloves/plastic bags or contactless payment are two options to consider,” AAA spokesperson Jeanette Casselano said in an email.

“Regardless, when you do touch the pump (and screen) we recommend using gloves or plastic bags as a barrier to touch the surface, using disinfectant wipes/hand sanitizer after filling, and wiping down the card as well. It is up to the consumer to decide what is the best option when you are at the pump.”
