Treyarch recently released the first cinematic trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies to give players a glimpse into the lore. It reveals that the story takes place five years after the Cold War Zombies incidents, which saw Weaver and other Requiem members betrayed by their project leader, Edward Richtofen, and sent to a remote prison.

The film trailer opens with a view of Terminus Island in the Philippine Sea in the year 1991. Ex-Requiem members – Grigori Weaver, Mackenzie “Mac” Carver, Elizabeth Grey, Oskar Strauss and Stoney Maddox (aka Raptor One) – have been tortured and interrogated at the outpost for five years.

Soon, a mysterious figure, later revealed to be a Filipino smuggler, Maya Aguinaldo, takes the guard away and frees the prisoners from their cells. She is followed by none other than Dr. William Peck, a former enemy of the Requiem, and unsurprisingly, Carver is not pleased to see him. Peck then reveals that everyone in that room is hunting a common enemy, Richtofen.

He then proposes to go after Richtofen, expose him for his crimes, and then kill him. However, Maya interrupts him, reminding him that she is also there to find her brother (an unknown character). But then, out of nowhere, an unexpected dimensional rift occurs in the prison. While Raptor One is ordered by Weaver to prepare the helicopter, Peck and Strauss are assigned to find Richtofen's coordinates. The remaining Terminus operators will help Maya find the whereabouts of her lost brother.
