When you hold Tab during an Overwatch 2 match, you can see a full breakdown of both teams’ player stats. However, some of the abbreviations on the scoreboard can confuse people. The number of takedowns a player has is displayed on the board as “E,” assists are “A,” and deaths are “D.” Meanwhile, damage dealt is “DMG” and healing is “H.”

While most of these abbreviations are fairly straightforward, the last and perhaps trickiest abbreviation on the scoreboard is “MIT.” Here’s what it means.

MIT on the Overwatch 2 scoreboard stands for “damage mitigated.” The stat is similar to “damage blocked” from the original Overwatch, but instead of counting damage that hits a shield, it includes damage prevented by things like Ana’s Nano Boost and Orisa’s Fortify.
