Excellent for people with disabilities

Smartphones are fantastic devices, but they also present a number of challenges for people with special accessibility needs.

First, smartphone interfaces are now highly visual in nature. Icons and other visual elements allow the user to interact with the device. Multi-touch screens have also taken away the ability to interact with the device by touch alone. On the other hand, smartphones are powerful enough that technologies such as voice recognition can be used to compensate for this shift.

You can also easily add accessibility devices to a smartphone using the USB port. But none of that matters if you don’t have software specifically written to tie it all together into useful features for users with varying disabilities. That’s where the Android Accessibility Suite comes in.
