“Semi-permanent hair treatment is designed to last multiple shampoos. The pigment molecules are small enough to partially penetrate the hair shaft and stain the cuticle layer. Depending on the hair condition, this color can last 8 to 12 washes,” explains Norma. It also does not lighten hair and does not contain ammonia or other harmful chemicals. Because it does not penetrate the hair, it is safe to use regularly. With each wash, more and more pigment is washed out until it is all gone.
