How AI is changing entertainment forever

According to a survey conducted by Variety Intelligence Platform in partnership with HarrisX and conducted online by HarrisX among 150 U.S. industry decision makers from May 2-13, 2024, many media and entertainment companies are adopting generative AI.

A whopping 79% of U.S. media and entertainment decision makers said their company was exploring, testing, or actively implementing generative AI in some aspect of their business, with nearly half (49%) having implemented it in a few or more areas. Meanwhile, laggards or abstainers accounted for 21% of respondents, with 6% saying their company has banned all use of the technology.

Among manufacturing workers, 61% said they are currently using (33%) or plan to use (28%) Gen AI. (Full details can be found in the full report.)
