The long-awaited collaboration between Dead by Daylight and Five Nights at Freddy's (FNAF) has been announced and fans are eager to know as many details as possible about this crossover, including when it will take place and what it will include.

Details are still few and far between, and much is still up in the air. The Dead by Daylight team at Behaviour Interactive has been working on a number of crossovers, featuring horror icons from cinema and video games, and even Nicholas Cage’s incredible acting talent. When it comes to the FNAF crossover, fans want to know when they can play it.
We can confirm that the Dead by Daylight and FNAF crossover will happen sometime in the summer of 2025. We don't know when exactly this will officially come out yet, but we're guessing it will be closer to Dead by Daylight's 9th anniversary stream, similar to when they shared more details about the Dungeons & Dragons crossover and brought Vecna into the game.
It's been a full year since the team announced the crossover would be happening for FNAF's 10th anniversary. The Dead by Daylight team typically keeps these details under wraps until players can get their hands on new content on the public test servers, which is usually a month before they arrive. For example, Castlevania was announced as a crossover during Behaviour Interactive's 8th anniversary stream for Dead by Daylight on May 14. However, we wouldn't learn any more concrete details until August 6, three months later.
