Jodi Arias, now a convicted murderer, was an aspiring photographer before she killed her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander in 2008. According to People Magazine, police found Alexander dead in his Mesa, Arizona, home on June 9. Evidence from the bloody crime scene, including bloody handprints and photos from a camera, linked Arias to the murder.

The outlet reported that Arias initially denied being at Alexander’s home on the day of the murder. However, she later admitted to being there, having sex with the victim and taking photos in the shower when masked intruders attacked them. But detectives believed she stabbed her ex multiple times, slit his throat and shot him in the head. They arrested the suspect and charged her with first-degree murder.

During her trial, Jodi Arias claimed that she had killed Alexander in self-defense. She said that the latter had attacked her when she dropped his new camera. The defendant claimed that she had no recollection of the stabbing. The case resulted in Arias' conviction and generated media hype as one of the most spectacular trials in American history.
