Voice control offers a faster way to manage your time and your inbox. Microsoft says Cortana can help you schedule meetings, compose emails, and find files, emails, and people. Interacting with mobile devices via voice can be more efficient than using a keyboard, experts say.

“The biggest benefit of conversational AI is efficiency — we speak three times faster than we type, so there’s an immediate time saving,” Pete Erickson, organizer of the speech technology event VOICE, said in an email interview.

"But thanks to voice interaction, we can also search more specifically for what we are looking for. This way, our device, in this case an iPhone, can work as fast as we can tell it what to do."
