Twisters was released in U.S. theaters on July 19, 2024. The film ends with Powells (Tyler Owens) chasing Kate Carter (Edgar-Jones) through an airport. Although romance is strongly hinted at, the two never kiss.

A video shared on X, which can be viewed below, reveals that Powell and Edgar-Jones did indeed film a kissing scene, but that it was cut from the final cut of the film.
