William Harrel is a former Lifewire writer specializing in printers and scanners. Harrel has been writing about computer technology for more than 30 years. He has authored or co-authored more than 20 books, several of which focus on desktop publishing, in which he has included information on getting the best results from laser printers, advanced prepress imaging equipment, and typesetters.
Since then, he has written hundreds of articles, how-tos, roundups, and reviews on printers, scanners, and all-in-one (multifunction) inkjet and laser class devices, as well as various other types of hardware including laptops, desktops, and tablets for publications such as PCWorld, Windows Magazine, and MacUser.
