Speaking to ComingSoon, Moseley was asked about the difference between working on a series like The Royals and starring in a film. Moseley said he enjoyed developing a character over four separate seasons.

"Yeah, I really enjoyed The Royals because I enjoyed developing the character, and I thought [creator Mark Schwahn]'s writing was really excellent," Moseley said. "He really developed the characters really well, and he adapted them to our personalities. I think Mark realized that I probably wanted to make the character a little more serious in The Royals than he was in the first season.

"I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but I wanted to embrace the drama, embrace the pain in the character, embrace the edge of his personality, that his father is dead and he's going to fight and get revenge. I wanted that to come through and I wanted to play that role. So Mark wrote a really fantastic storyline for me."
