With the Senate session in abeyance, two senators have flown to the United States for a working visit.

Senate President Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri and Francis Tolentino visited Washington DC for a number of engagements, including a visit to the Philippine Embassy.

At the embassy, Zubiri took the opportunity to sign three bills, including the proposal to establish the government's Maharlika Investment Fund.

"Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri signs three bills at the Philippine Embassy in Washington, where he is on a working visit: the bill to establish the Maharlika Investment Fund, the bill to extend the inheritance tax amnesty for two years, and the bill to recognize Baler, Aurora as the birthplace of Philippine surfing," Zubiri's Instagram post read.
