One of the biggest changes coming to World of Warcraft's next expansion, The War Within, is the addition of more race-class combinations for the game's newest race, the Dractyr.

The change that gives Dractyr access to more races was confirmed by WoW game director Ion Hazzikostas in an interview with content creator MrGM. And in a recent post on the WoW subreddit, players are already speculating about what new Dractyr classes we might see in The War Within.

WoW fans in particular pointed out that classes like Warriors and Mages are the ones they're most excited for. One player noted that he couldn't wait to delve into the class fantasy of a "blue Dractyr Arcane Mage" and another shared a potential plate transmog set he'd be equipping on his Dractyr Warrior.

At the start of Dragonflight, Blizzard had a hard and fast rule that Dractyr could only be Evokers, and Evokers could only be Dractyr. The race-class lock was the first of its kind in WoW. While some classes in the past (like Demon Hunter) were limited to a handful of races for lore reasons, the Dractyr-Evoker relationship was unique in that only one option was available in both the race and class departments.
