As many have speculated in recent months, Xbox will raise prices for its Game Pass service starting on July 10 for new members and September 12 for existing members. The company will also launch Game Pass Standard, which, among other things, will not include day one releases.

Microsoft announced the changes today, outlining them in an Xbox Support post. Game Pass Ultimate will now retail for $19.99 in the United States, though not every region will be affected the same way. The company has provided a full list of regions and countries and how pricing will be adjusted in each one. Microsoft will also be eliminating the Game Pass for Console option in favor of the new Game Pass Standard, a limited $14.99 tier that will not include any day-one Game Pass releases, nor some specific titles available to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
Game Pass Standard users will also not have access to EA Play, EA's subscription service, as well as other benefits like discounts on Game Pass titles. Those who are already subscribed to Game Pass for Console will be able to continue using the service for the foreseeable future.
Game Pass Ultimate isn’t the only one seeing a price increase. PC Game Pass will also be increasing to $11.99 per month in the US, while Game Pass Core is increasing to $74.99 per year, or $9.99 per month. These price changes will go into effect on July 10 for every new subscriber, while existing users will be given a grace period until September 12, when they too will be required to pay.
