Watching a movie in the car is getting easier and easier. And with LG’s new announcement, it looks like you’ll have even more options for watching movies.

In a press release, LG Electronics announced that Disney+ will soon be added to the LG Automotive Content Platform (ACP). It will first roll out in Korea, then the U.S., with "other markets to follow." The LG ACP is designed to provide information and services to in-car infotainment systems. It is powered by webOS and "is the centerpiece of LG's PlayWare entertainment system that enhances the in-car infotainment experience."

Disney+ is part of a larger ecosystem of entertainment apps accessible through LG ACP, including Netflix, YouTube, TikTok, LG Channels and more. LG claims its PlayWare entertainment system can deliver 4K Ultra HD entertainment and features AI Audio technology to deliver spatial sound.

There's no mention of which vehicles the LG ACP's LG PlayWare might be available in, or exact dates for when Disney+ will be available in the US. The company did note, however, that a subscription to DisneyPlus would be required to use the service, and it's likely you'll need to purchase in-car Wi-Fi as well, though what that might cost depends on several factors.
