Here's everything you need to know about ZZZ and its protagonist.
Zenless Zone Zero's protagonist is split between two characters: Wise and Belle. Who you choose will determine whether Belle or Wise will be the main character of ZZZ. Your decision will not affect the story, but the dialogue between these two characters will be swapped for each major cutscene based on who you select as your main character. Wise and Belle are not playable characters, however. The only times you can freely roam as either of them is in The City and HQ.
Interestingly, Belle and Wise don’t play a combat role in ZZZ’s story. Instead, they pilot the Bangboo, an intelligent device shaped like a classic anime mascot sidekick meant to aid ZZZ’s large cast of characters. You select your trio of members to bring with you for each Trial. These are the ones you actually control in the story. Wise and Belle remain in the background, with the dialogue between your team and the Bangboo being handled by your chosen protagonist.
