Amid his worries, he suggested that the LCS and the organizations that make up the NA League competition were hampering the Academy and ruining its future.
Gafford agreed, expressing deep concern for the future of the LCS and the problems with the Academy system, as it appears that "players are giving up." This is a serious problem for NA, as the Academy system is the foundation of the LCS. He even acknowledged that if the Academy system fails, it will "threaten the existence of the league in the long run."
LCS fans are jumping on the bandwagon and agreeing, with some claiming that “the time to do something was years ago.” So it’s not just pros and professional league analysts who are concerned about the state of the Academy and the future of NA pros.
